Acts of love bring joy to precious hearts. To perform such acts, many call upon the diversified fruits of the Spirit e.g., kindness, peace, reverence, grace and blessedness. Showing kindness calls for a contrite heart. It is being able to kindle hearts. This is done by showing God's true love in a believer's life. To do so calls for touching a love made in heaven that sustains precious souls, bringing about unification with the Holy Spirit where there is peace and happiness. Such is the good news that reaches out to every man, woman and child.

It takes a leap of faith to discover security. Tullian Tchividjian (b. 1972) a professor of theology and senior pastor of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church, Fort Lauderdale, Florida remarked, “Believe it or not, Christianity is not about good people getting better. If anything, it is good news for bad people coping with their failure to be good.” What a demonstration it is then of an act of love to all those that have fallen short in life and know that it takes redemption of their shortcomings to succeed in a life of faith.

Sow Love

It is imperative that we love one another. Show care and loving tenderness in all relationships. It is such love that makes hope blossom like brand new petals after a rainstorm. This is the revelation of the liberty of love that has to be touched and nurtured. It is trustworthy love at its best when all will come to know its beauty. Such wondrous love is beyond comparison. It is love well sowed that is found deeply intertwined in our hearts. Realization of this ultimate love could also be found in the symbolism and reality of the Cross. That is why many Christians wear it as a true display of all things that represent the hope, life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

An American author and aviator Anne Morrow Lindbergh (1906 – 2001) wrote, “For happiness one needs security, but joy can spring like a flower even from the cliffs of despair.” How wonderful is security in a believer's life! It is the underpinnings of a secured love. Billy Graham (b. 1918) an American evangelical Christian evangelist felt, “God proved His love on the Cross. When Christ hung, and bled, it was God saying to the world, 'I love you.'”

Love and Serve

Put true love into practice. Let it be well-known and much served to all individuals. To do so calls for a humble heart and a positive outlook. Love must be “the love of one's life.” It ought to be inspirational to be authentic. Loving kindness is vividly demonstrated when there is the Eucharistic celebration - Supper of the Lamb, when the Cross is lifted high for all to adore. Even the poor, needy and outcast are welcomed at the feast. This love is put into practice for all to see and ponder the goodness of Christ. It is truly fatherly, motherly, brotherly and sisterly love that is demonstrated as its best for the common good.

It was Martin Luther King, Jr. (1929 -1968) an American Baptist minister and leader of the African-American Civil Rights Movement that observed, “The ultimate tragedy is not the oppression and cruelty by bad people but the silence over that by the good people.” Failure to sow love and make our voices be known can surely be this sort of tragedy that King, Jr. alluded to in our society.

Be Recreated by Love

Desmond Tutu (b. 1931) a South African social rights activist and retired Anglican Bishop said, “You don't choose your family. They are God's gift to you, as you are to them.” What a creation of love that Tutu touched on that is absolutely free to all. It is the love of connectedness at a sublime level. We contribute when we step forward to do our part in our community and the world at large. True love is created and recreated, nurtured and it blossoms into amazing realities. It is good, just and holy that expresses the eternal goodness of our Creator.

Recreated love is a true gift to every living soul. Albert Camus (1913 -1960) a French author, philosopher, journalist and Nobel Prize winner captured this reality best when he noted, “Without culture, and the relative freedom it implies, society, even when perfect, is but a jungle. This is why any authentic creation is a gift to the future."  We would hope that cycles of creative forces in the universe push us forward to tap into the dawning of a newer and better world. This can only be through the recognition and acceptance of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit that continue to work gloriously in our midst.
